DAY 1 – SUNDAY 7 JANUARY 2018
Arrive Queenstown

Kia ora – Welcome to New Zealand and Queenstown – the adventure capital of the world. Airport shuttles are included today from Queenstown airport to your accommodation. Flights are recommended to arrive before 5pm today so we can all meet up for a welcome drink and dinner later this evening.

We celebrate our first night in Queenstown with a cocktail rugged up at the Ice bar and dinner out at a local restaurant.

DAY 2 – MONDAY 8 JANUARY 2018
Queenstown

Wake up to stunning views of Lake Wakatipu and The Remarkables mountain range. This morning travel to the historic gold mining town of Arrowtown, a good place for lunch. Return back to Queenstown via the base for Shotover Jet and Kawarau Bridge Bungy for anyone wanting to start the adrenalin for their next few days in Queenstown. Today is also a good day to discuss with the guide activities you would like to for your free days in Queenstown, Wanaka and Franz Josef so arrangements can be made.

The top of the Skyline Gondola offers great views of Lake Wakatipu and the surrounding mountains. Later today we take a trip up the gondola with the option of adding on a fun luge ride or buffet dinner this evening (dinner and luge rides at additional cost).

DAY 3 – TUESDAY 9 JANUARY 2018
Queenstown

A full day to explore Queenstown, offering a number of great activities to fill in the day ranging from the extreme options of bungy jumping, sky diving, canyon swing to more relaxing options. Take a trip on the iconic Shotover Jet, take in the sights from the Skyline Gondola at the top of Bob’s Peak or a cruise across Lake Wakatipu on the historic steamship TSS Earnslaw to Walter Peak High Country farm.

DAY 4 - WEDNESDAY 10 JANUARY 2018
Queenstown

Another full day in Queenstown. Day trips to Milford Sound or Doubtful Sound are also possible during full days in Queenstown, these are full day trips however worth it as these are amazing places to visit. If the weather is good a scenic flight to Milford Sound with cruise or helicopter ride is also possible.

DAY 5 - THURSDAY 11 JANUARY 2018
Queenstown to Wanaka

Today is a short travel day to nearby Wanaka, another popular lakeside resort town. Along the way we travel along the Gibbston Valley with winey tour along the way including wine tastings. Dinner is included this evening at a local Mexican restaurant.

DAY 6 – FRIDAY 12 JANUARY 2018
Wanaka

A full day in Wanaka. Nearby Highlands Motorsport is a popular place to visit, optional activities at additional cost while visiting Highlands are numerous ranging from exploring the museum of racing cars of days gone by and recent cars, race each other Go-Karting, take a lap around the racing track as a passenger or drive one of the muscle cars yourself around the track. There is a nearby café with wine tasting and a unique scent room for anyone wanting to relax while others race around the track. Alternatively spend time in Wanaka relaxing, a cruise on the lake or shopping.

DAY 7 – SATURDAY 13 JANUARY 2018
Wanaka to Franz Josef

Leave the Southern Lakes behind today and travel over the Southern Alps over to the West Coast up to Franz Josef, Fox and Franz Josef being the main accessible glaciers of the South Island. Make a number of stops during the day including a walk of mirror-like Lake Matheson if the weather is suitable. Dinner this evening is at a local restaurant.

DAY 8 – SUNDAY 14 JANUARY 2018
Franz Josef

A full day in Franz Josef for additional activities. Options to choose from are a heli hike of the glacier, a scenic helicopter ride with snow landing, quad biking, kayaking or relax in the local hot pools.

DAY 9 – MONDAY 15 JANAURY 2018
Franz Josef to Christchurch

Travel back over the Southern Alps and Arthurs Pass returning to Christchurch later afternoon. Spend your last evening with your guide at a farewell dinner out in Christchurch.

Depart Christchurch

Airport transfers are included for your departure flight.
