Botswana is the perfect destination for any traveller who has an affinity with wildlife. Not only does this landlocked African country boast a rich diamond mining industry, it also features impressive wildlife parks that comprise about a fifth of the country. Botswana is the second stop in our 19-day African Safari especially designed for an amazing holidays for singles.

The country is teeming with wildlife, and people in Botswana know that it’s their responsibility to protect it, thus giving birth to a number of community-based wildlife projects. Such is the Khama Rhino Sanctuary (visited on our itinerary) whose mission is to save the endangered population of the white rhino, while also aiming to reestablish the natural condition of the sanctuary in order to attract more animals.

The Khwai River region, on the other hand, is a sure hit for anyone who wishes to be up close and personal with some of the fiercest African predators. Renowned for having one of the biggest gatherings of wildlife in Botswana, the Khwai plays host to elephants, lions, cheetahs, leopards and wild dogs, to name a few. Also, another Botswana spot with a good concentration of wildlife is the Moremi Game Reserve. We’ll explore this breathtaking reserve on our safari.

An African Safari is never complete without a visit to the Okavango Delta. A geological marvel, this delta is formed by the Okavango River.  However, instead of emptying out into the ocean, it goes directly to the Kalahari Desert. And just like many of Botswana’s area, the concentration of wildlife in the Okavango Delta is exceptional.

Located in northern Botswana, Chobe National Park is not only one of the largest, but it is also the most diverse parks in Botswana. At Chobe, visitors are treated to a magnificent showcase of African wildlife, from zebras to lions. And this park is also home to Africa’s largest concentration of elephants. The Chobe National Park tour takes place near the end of our African safari.
