- Visa/Passport:Australian passport holders do not need a visa for stays up to 90 days. A reciprocity fee of 100 USD is applied during entry at Ezeiza Airport (EZE) and is payable in cash.
- Airport: Buenos Aires’s Ministro Pistarini International Airport (EZE) is around a 40-minute drive to the town centre.
- Departure Tax: Travellers do not need to pay any departure tax upon embarkation.
- Getting Around:Trains are a cheap but limited option. Domestic flights are available within the country, though these tend to be pricey. Buses and cars are a common means of getting around the country, as is hitchhiking.
- Credit Cards: Credit cards are usually accepted, though some businesses may add surcharges and others might require proof of identification.
- Drinking: The legal drinking age is 18, though it is not always enforced
- Shopping: Leather goods and other fashion items are good purchases in Argentina, and they can be found in many places. Calle Florida is one of the most popular shopping areas in the country.
