Bookings are made us and added to your guesthouse package. We have a group booking that includes return transfers from our group accommodation. After your flight return you are transferred back to your accommodation in time for breakfast at leisure.

Flight Status & Check In
A flight status message will be sent to your nominated mobile contact number provided on your booking after 5:00pm the afternoon prior to your flight with a weather update and a flight departure time. It is important to read this message in full, and complete the pre flight waiver for all passengers on your booking (if flight confirmed). If you fail to receive the message, please call our booking office on 1300 468 247 by 6:30PM

As a guide, expect to return to your accommodation around 8am.

IMPORTANT: Failure to arrive before flight departure time or cancellation within 72 hours of your flight will result in the forfeiture of your ticket. No refund will be available and you will not be allowed to rebook.

The smallest balloons carry 2 passengers while the largest can accommodate 24 people, including the pilot. The flight generally lasts an hour, which gives you more opportunities to revel in nature’s beauty, as well as snap a couple of photos.

What to Wear
Casual clothing suitable for hiking with flat enclosed shoes or joggers (preferably waterproof as there can be dew on the ground in the early morning.) It is no colder in the air than on the ground. Dress for early morning temperatures and with layers so you can take off jackets etc as the day warms up. Hats, sunglasses, and a bottle of water are recommended.

Fit to Fly?
Ballooning does involve some active participation from passengers. You must be able to stand for one hour. It’s a sky sport and is not without some inherent risk. All passengers will be asked to sign a Medical Declaration and Assumption of Risk form on the morning of the flight. We need your weight at time of booking and updates for any change in your weight prior to your flight.

The operator balloons are registered aircraft with the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA). Balloons undergo regular maintenance & safety audits. Equipment is state of the art ensuring passenger safety and comfort. Beyond Ballooning employs a team of highly skilled pilots with a wealth of local knowledge and a strong emphasis on safety. Pilots hold various overseas qualifications in both balloons and fixed wing aircraft and love their job! Beyond Ballooning ground crew attend regular safety training & are there to assist the pilots & passengers to ensure you have a safe morning but most of all loads of fun!

What About The Weather?
Beyond Ballooning offers a 100% flight fee refund if your flight is cancelled due to weather. This ensures that you are not stuck with a ticket if it is your only visiting the Hunter Valley and the flight is cancelled.

Passenger Limitations

• Passengers must have no major knee, back or neck problems which will limit their ability to participate
• Passengers cannot fly if they have had recent surgery or are recovering from injury
• Passengers must be over 7 years of age
• Individual weight limit of 130kg
• Passengers must not be over 12 weeks pregnant at time of flight
