Mobile phone and internet access is widely available throughout Tasmania. In some parts of Tasmania such as Cradle Mountain, network coverage may be limited or not available. Many visitors to Cradle Mountain find the escape from such technology one of the most enjoyable aspects of their stay.
You can expect most, or even all hotels to offer WiFi—some for free, others for a modest fee.

If you don’t already use this service, we recommend downloading this application also. It’s a mobile phone App that offers fast, simple, secure messaging and calling for free (data charges may apply – ask your phone provider). As a general indication, for many of our tours, guides use WhatsApp to communicate with the group. In any case, it’s an easy way to connect with other travellers in your group.
