DAY 1
Hola! Welcome to Spain. The day and evening at leisure. Barcelona is cosmopolitan and a wonderful city for making your own local discoveries, a spot of shopping and soaking up the atmosphere.

DAY 2
After breakfast, take in the sights with a guided morning tour of Barcelona. Visit the highlights; including La Sagrada Familia and landmarks such as Plaza Cataluña, Vía Laietana, the Cathedral and visiting the Gothic Quarter and Plaza Sant Jaume, the Vila Olímpica and the Port Olímpic.
This evening, a highlight welcome dinner at the local restaurant located within the walking distance from the hotel.

DAY 3
After breakfast, embark on a day out to visit the city of Girona and Figueras. First, we will visit Girona and its old quarter with the entrance to the Cathedral of St. Mary. The Cathedral is built in different styles and has a magnificent gothic cloister. A stroll through the old Jewish quarter of Girona will follow. Visit the beautiful bridges at the Onyar River that will end at the city’s main square. There is some time at leisure to find a local spot for lunch.
In the afternoon drive to Figueres, the birthplace of one of the greatest artists of 20th century – Salvador Dali. It’s here we visit the Dalí Museum. By the end of the day, drive back to Barcelona for any evening at leisure.

DAY 4
Today, we avoid a long travel distance with the comfort of a flight from Barcelona to Seville. Your three night stasy in Seville starts with a highlight dinner and flamenco show.

DAY 5
This morning head off on a morning tour to visit one of the most important highlights of central Sevilla: The Royal Alcazar; an Arabic palace from the 14th Century and nowadays residence of the Spanish kings. You’ll also pass by
the Cathedral of Santa María, the biggest in Spain and place where is buried Christopher. As the morning comes to a close, enjoy an easy paced walk through the historical Jewish section called Santa Cruz.
This afternoon is a wonderful opportunity for time and leisure to make your own city discoveries.

DAY 6
We visit some of the most beautiful sights of the city this morning: Plaza España, Maria Luisa Park and if time allows, we will enter the General Archive of the Indies, housed in the beautiful building of the merchant´s stock exchange. It houses documents of extreme value illustrating the history of Spanish Empire in the Americas and Asia. It is a unique building of Spanish Renaissance architecture.
We take lunch together at a local restaurant and the remainder of the day and evening is at leisure.

DAY 7
We depart Seville for Jerez de la Frontera, about a one hour drive for a panoramic visit of the city with your tour director. Jerez is the home of Sherry wine and houses many of the most important Sherry producers in the world. It’s here we visit one of the iconic sherry producers with the wine tasting included. There’s time at leisure for lunch.
In the afternoon, travel onto Cadiz to visit one of the most picturesque cities in Spain situated on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. By the end of the day return to Jerez de la Frontera for your overnight stay.

DAY 8
Today we make our way to Granada via Ronda.
Arriving first to Ronda we take a tour with a local guide. Ronda is a small city in the region of Andalusia famous for its cliff side location a deep gorge and three picturesque bridges. We will visit the main points of interest such as Socorro square, Puente nuevo, bullfighting ring (from outside), Marques de Salvatierra Palace (from outside). There’s a group lunch at a local restaurant and then onto Granada.

SPECIAL NOTE:
Kindly note we cannot guarantee the entrance to Alhambra, those are subject to availability. Tickets are highly sort after and can be difficult to secure. We will do our best to arrange entry tickets. Bookings after 8 May may not be able to have a ticket secured, or otherwise a time slot may vary from other travellers in the group. We require a copy of your passport document page to book tickets.
DAY 9
From Granada we may our way to Cordoba for the next two nights of stay. The drive is about two and a half hours.
Upon arrival, we set off on city tour of Córdoba with a local expert guide. Visit the old city with famous Cathedral “La Mezquita” and old Jewish quarter of the city known for its interesting interior patios. The afternoon and evening are at your leisure.

DAY 10
In the morning we visit the ruins of Medina Azahara (the radiant city) with a local expert guide. The ruins of the fortified palace from the 10th century built by the Arabs who governed Spain for almost eight centuries.
Today, participate in Spanish cuisine cooking class. We start before lunch in order to lunch on the results from your cooking class.

DAY 11
We leave Córdoba for our overnight stay in Evora. Arriving to Evora there is time for lunch at leisure/
In the afternoon, a city tour of Evora with a local guide, including entrance to the bone chapel included. Evora is another UNESCO jewel. This city accomplishes a great harmony of all époques that marked the prestigious history of Évora. The walking tour visits the Giraldo Square, the historical quarter, with the roman and gothic cathedral, the Roman Temple, Saint Francis church and the Bone Chapel. Later, there is some time at leisure to discover the city at your own pace.

DAY 12
From Evora it’ an easy transfer to Lisbon for our next two nights of stay. Upon arrival, set out on a city tour with a local expert guide. The tour will take us through the most historical and traditional points of the city, such as the Park Edward VII, Liberty Avenue, Restauration Square, Rossio Square, the Downtown (rebuilt after the earthquake of 1755) and Commerce Square. Afterwards we continue to Belém, which is known as the “Discoveries Quarter”. We continue by visiting the Geronimo’s Monastery, built in the 16th century in Manueline style. Finally, continue to Alfama, the quarter where the city was born.
There’s a group lunch to be enjoyed at a local restaurant.

DAY 13
We meet up with a local guide and drive to Sintra, a UNESCO heritage site with a visit to Pena Palace. After, transfer to Cascais and Estoril for some free time for lunch. This is an area known for the summer residences of the inhabitants of Lisbon.

DAY 14
Transfer to Oporto today for a two night stay. On the way we will stop at the picturesque town of Aveiro. It is famous for coloured wooden boats and art-noveau architecture. There’s an orientation tour of Aveiro with your tour director, and free time for lunch in Aveiro. After lunch, continue to Oporto. Arriving to Oporto the rest of the day is at your leisure to explore.

DAY 15
A morning discovery of with a local expert guide. Visit the Cathedral, Clerigos Tower (Torre dos Clerigos), Stock Exchange and see the outside of St Francisco Church. We will also have the opportunity to have a tasting of the local wine Porto, in a nearby cellar. After the tour, transfer to the to a restaurant in the Duoro Valley for lunch.

Day 16
Today we travel to Salamanca. It is a beautiful Spanish university city. Upon arrival, free time for lunch. In the afternoon, a two hour walking city tour of Salamanca will uncover an ancient city famous for its university founded by Alfonso IX in the early 1200’s. All the buildings in the centre of town, even the new ones, are made of the stone from Villamayor that together with its characteristic golden colour gives strong personality to all the town. Salamanca features the highlights such as Casa de las Conchas, the Roman Bridge, Plaza Mayor, Old and New Cathedral and the University Quarter with its famous Salamanca University (entrances not included).

Day 17
Transfer to Segovia, then onto Madrid our final tour destination. Arriving to Segovia we take a tour with a local guide. We visit the most important sights that Segovia is famous for: Roman aqueduct (from outside), cathedral (outside) and Castle (entrance included). After the visit, lunch in local restaurant.
After lunch transfer to Madrid and the rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 18
Discover Madrid’s highlights with a morning city tour escorted by a local expert guide.
Madrid is a multi- faced city, with its Arab fortress with origins to the reign of Philip II and that of Charles III, at which period some important building schemes were undertaken and, finally, present day Madrid, one of the most important European capitals. Drive past such well-known avenues as those of Gran Vía and Castellana, famous squares such as the Plaza de España, Oriente, Mayor, Puerta del Sol, Atocha, Neptuno, Cibeles, Puerta de Alcalá, Colón and Plaza de Castilla, quarters of major historical relevance such as that of the Austrias, the Borbouns and Salamanca, the Oeste and Retiro parks, commercial and financial areas Coliseums such as the Bullring, the Santiago Bernabeu soccer stadium, University Campus (if time permitting). At the end, also visit the ‘Mercado de San Miguel’.

It’s regular that our trips include welcome dinners and farewell dinners for our groups. In addition, we include other group dining experiences to ensure that everyone can enjoy the benefit of travelling and dining as a group. There’s nothing better than to share a meal with new friends and discuss the day’s adventures.
Are you a flexitarian?
If you have dietary requirements, please advise if it is due to allergies or for medical reasons or if it is a personal preference and if you are flexible. Dietary requirements will limit choices. If a dietary requirement is not essential due to medical reasons and you are a flexitarian, then we recommend that you exclude your personal preferences if not necessary to provide more options with the meal choices.
GROUP TOUR DIRECTOR
This is a private group tour with a tour director and coach driver. Your tour director is there to assist with group arrangements and to act as the liaison for all tour services. If a group finalises with less than 10 travellers a driver-guide provides the touring services.
The role of your GROUP TOUR DIRECTOR is to lead the group, take charge of all the trip logistics on tour, and of course, make sure the trip runs as smoothly as possible so ultimately you have the best possible experience. From time to time, as is the nature of travel, ‘hiccups’ can occur, such as unexpected delays to due to traffic congestion, unexpected weather conditions that make a change of plans necessary, and many other things that go hand in hand with travel. In these circumstances your group leader will do their utmost to make the best possible alternative plans – please be ready to accept that these situations are out of the control of anyone and trust in your group leader to assist as best as possible.
TRANSPORT
Private road transportation with a modern 50-seater bus with air conditioning for a group of 14 or more travellers. A smaller vehicle may be used if the group size is below 14 passengers.
