Sri Lanka is abundant in culture, ancient history, white sandy beaches, lush leafy tea plantations, and the warm hospitality of the Sri Lankan people. And for many, the major highlight is the proliferation of the elephant population in the National Parks of Sri Lanka.

A tropical island, shaped liked a tear drop, off the south east coast of India, is an easy to reach destination from Australia and makes for the ideal two week trip.

Arriving to the country’s capital, Colombo, there’s a two night stay in the nearby coastal town of Negombo before the group makes its way to the cultural triangle. On the way, there’s a special visit to the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage.  Then, from ancient culture, it’s onto to the highlands for a fine cup of tea at our unique boutique eco lodge, where we enjoy an easy pace two night stay, before visiting the city of Kandy. After, journey to the hill country of Sri Lanka’s Central Province, with an overnight stay in the picturesque town of Nuwara Eliya, reminding many visitors of a ‘little England’.

From the hills, we make our way down to Udawalawe National Park, including a jeep safari to see the elephant population. On our final leg of our discovery, we have a south coast visit of the old fort city of Galle, enjoying a relaxing two night stay at our resort hotel before a final night in the Sri Lankan capital of Colombo.

During your Sri Lankan encounter you’ll enjoy the country’s unique cuisine plus there’s time to enjoy some unique Ayurveda spa treatments.
